Grab your croissant and baguette purses ladies, because the Paris Olympics are just 24 days away! While I won’t be jetting off to Paris, I’ll be soaking up July in Vancouver with a Parisian twist. There’s a certain je ne sais quoi about bringing the essence of Paris to our beautiful city. It’s about savoring those little pleasures, just like the French do, and embracing café culture in an effortlessly chic French Girl outfit. While Parisians and Olympic Tourists enjoy fireworks near the Eiffel Tower on Bastille Day, Vancouverites will be celebrating the Celebration of Light with a beautiful sparkle in the sky above the stunning harbor of the Pacific Ocean. In the spirit of my favourite sport fashion, here are some Olympic-inspired outfits to embrace gymnastics-style glam, chic cycling, and preppy tennis-inspired looks to add joi de vivre to your day-to-day street style.
First up on the podium.
Gymnastics-Inspired Glam
Inspired by my favourite Olympic sport gymnastics (let's go Simone Biles!), bodysuits are no stranger to us gals. Finding ones that are comfy and non-invasive is a conversation for another time, however, we are also no stranger to making bodysuits a part of our wardrobe collection to save us the effort of tucking tops in without bunching at the bottoms.
There are so many different styles of bodysuits to play with, so create diversity in your wardrobe to include bodysuits with different appeals on top. Think sleek and crisp collared bodysuits, silk-blouse silhouettes, and elegant off-the-shoulder styles that will look amazing paired underneath baggy sleeveless jumpsuits and rompers, as well as high-waisted wide-leg trousers, midi length skirts, and ankle cut leather pants.

Cycling Chic
Channel that effortlessly chic vibe with cycling shorts. It’s all about comfort meeting style, perfect for dressing up with a long loose airy top and pumps for steak frites at Les Faux Bourgeois, and dressing down with a sweatshirt and sneakers for watching a sunset at Kits Beach or a crop top and blazer paired with ballet flats for a crisp glass of rosé on a patio (I'm thinking Provence Marinaside). Whatever your sentimente, cycling shorts are very versatile, and above all très chic, non?

Preppy Tennis Court Style
With summer temperatures rising, channel your inner tennis diva with a stylish and elegant tennis outfit. Tennis skirts, skorts, and shorts can transition effortlessly from a casual daytime look to a chic and preppy evening ensemble—just add the right accessories, like a statement necklace, a pair of sunglasses, and beautiful Mejuri styled earrings. To add that bourgeois (preppy) air, style your look with a cable knit sweater or crewneck sweatshirt, and drape it over your shoulders.

Now that you have some fun sporty chic championship looks for your Olympic month, let's celebrate all the triumphs, close calls, and proud moments this Olympic season brings. Each experience, no matter the outcome, is meant to be embraced, adding to the swagger of true style. Remember, fashion is what you buy; style is what you do with it. Carrying an outfit means carrying each phase of life with absolute pride.
Santé!
